Job Overview: The Production Support General Associate Premium Pay is responsible for supporting quality control operations by assisting in the containment, inspection, and documentation of non-conforming parts or products. This role plays a key part in protecting the production line and the customer by ensuring only conforming parts proceed to the next process or shipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic visual and manual inspections of parts to identify defects or deviations.
- Sort, contain, and segregate non-conforming parts.
- Enter all containment findings in the scanner and include pictures.
- Coordinate with production to have the parts repaired or replaced.
- Clearly label and tag contained materials and ensure they are stored properly.
- Ensure safe handling and storage of both conforming and non-conforming materials.
- Assist in organizing workstations and maintaining material flow.
- Follow all quality and safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE and tools.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe containment areas in line with 5S principles.
- Report quality concerns or unsafe conditions immediately to the team leader or supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of quality standards and defect identification (training provided).
- Ability to work in a repetitive task environment with high attention to detail.
- Previous experience in quality inspection, containment, or production support is a plus.
- Familiarity with automotive parts, quality standards, or production systems.
- The ability to use basic measuring devices (calipers, gauges) is helpful.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and various materials.
- Requires standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Full-time, with potential for overtime based on production needs.
- Shifts may include days, evenings, or weekends.
