Our Parts Counterperson tasks include providing excellent customer service and assisting customers with queries, ordering customer parts, supplies and inventory, stocking shelves, and operating the cash register.

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers at the parts counter, identifying required parts and accessories for their vehicles
• Process customer order for parts, ensuring accuracy in parts number, quantities, and pricing
• Organize and manage parts inventory, restock shelves, and monitor stock to meet customer demand
• Suggest additional accessories or related parts that complement customers purchases
• Communicate with customers to inform them of the availability of ordered parts and schedule pickups or deliveries
• Recognize, receive, process, and control all components of orders/inventory
• Handle incoming phone calls professionally and efficiently
• Create additional stock bin placements and keep the area organized
• Notify leadership of shortage and damage discrepancies
• Prepare all incoming or outgoing parts for each dealership
• Other duties may include such as processing warranty scraps and light forklift duties

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Prior auto parts sales experience (preferred)
• Ability to stand for extend periods and lift heavy parts when needed
• This job requires physical capabilities to lift and pull up to 50 pounds
• Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Detail-oriented, have professional appearance and strong work ethic
• Valid driver’s license, satisfactory background check results, and clean driving record
