Duties
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install trim, molding, cabinetry, doors, and fixtures with precision and care
- Read blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to ensure accurate execution of finish work
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks such as sanding, caulking, and sealing surfaces
- Perform framing, drywall finishing, plastering, stucco application, and siding installation as needed for comprehensive project completion
- Conduct restoration work and general repairs to restore structures to their original condition
- Collaborate with team members on heavy lifting, fabrication, metal stud framing
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols on construction sites
Qualifications
- Proven experience in finish carpentry including trim work, cabinet installation, door hanging, and fixture setup
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret blueprints and schematics
- Skilled in using hand tools (saws, chisels, hammers) and power tools (drills, sanders) safely and effectively
- Experience with framing carpentry, metal stud framing or drywall finishing is preferred
- Familiarity with restoration industry practices such as water damage restoration or mold remediation is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical demands of the job throughout the day
- Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations applicable to construction sites
- Excellent problem-solving skills with an eye for detail in all aspects of finish work
