MTK Healthcare is actively seeking experienced LPNs (Licensed Practical Nurses) for a 13-week clinic assignment with Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital, part of Hawaii Health Systems Corporation in Kauai, Hawaii.
Position Details
Job Title: LPN – Clinic
Location: Kauai, Hawaii (Kalaheo/Waimea Region)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (may extend to 6:00 PM as needed)
Openings: 3
EMR System: Cerner
Schedule Requirement: 80 hours bi-weekly (no exceptions)
Role Overview
The LPN will support outpatient clinic operations by delivering high-quality patient care across multiple departments. This role requires flexibility to assist across clinic locations as needed and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Clinic Departments
- Family Practice (FP)
- Behavioral Health (BH)
- Obstetrics (OB)
- Urgent Care (UC)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in outpatient clinic settings
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and procedures
- Monitor patient conditions and document accurately in EMR
- Support workflow across multiple departments as needed
- Maintain compliance with clinical and regulatory standards
- Float to other clinic locations based on coverage needs
Requirements
- Active Hawaii LPN License (Mandatory)
- Minimum 2 years of clinic/outpatient experience
- Experience in Family Practice, Behavioral Health, Internal Medicine, or similar settings preferred
- BLS/ACLS certification required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work across departments and locations
Additional Information
- Holiday pay based on hours worked (New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas)

- Willingness to travel between clinic locations is required
