Role Description The Field Services Engineer role at MTINC is a full-time, on-site position based in Oxnard, CA. In this role, you will perform installation, commissioning, and configuration of equipment at customer locations, ensuring systems are operating to specification. You will conduct routine and preventive maintenance, diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and/or electrical issues, and perform timely repairs or adjustments. The position involves providing on-site technical support, documenting service activities, and escalating complex issues when needed. You will also interact directly with customers to explain findings, train users on proper operation, and ensure a positive service experience while adhering to all safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Field Service skills, including hands-on installation, setup, and commissioning of equipment at customer sites.
- Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills to diagnose issues, interpret error codes, and resolve hardware or software problems efficiently.
- Preventive Maintenance experience to perform inspections, adjustments, and component replacements that minimize downtime.
- Customer Service abilities to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and maintain professional, respectful interactions on-site.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude, with the ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for documenting service reports and collaborating with internal teams.
- Ability to work independently in the field, manage time and priorities, and comply with safety procedures and guidelines.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Valid Passport and willingness to travel locally, country wide and overseas as required for on-site service work.
