Spring Equal Access Internship | 2026
Location: Nashville, TN or remote
Position Type: Part-time Internship
Internship Length: January 20th, 2026 - May 1st, 2026
This internship is a fixed-term position lasting 15 weeks, with a maximum of 20 hours per week. It does not guarantee extension or continued employment beyond the program. Candidates must be available for the full duration of the program.

As a part of mtheory’s goal and commitment to supporting and diversifying all areas of Country Music, we launched the Equal Access Development Program, an artist and management development training initiative in April 2022. This initiative is designed to give artists and managers from underrepresented demographics in the country music industry the access, training, and networking opportunities they aren’t always afforded. mtheory provides artist managers with services, support, and capabilities across a wide range of disciplines, including marketing, touring, live event production, financing, digital services, and label services. Some of our manager clients include One Spark Entertainment (Sara Evans), BackForty Management (Shakey Graves, Futurebirds), Whizzbang (Tyler Childers, Tommy Prine), and many more. Based in New York and Nashville, mtheory offers artist managers a platform to build their businesses and enhance their artists’ careers.
Responsibilities
- Data tracking and reporting
- Maintain and update analytics reports, tracking new releases, playlisting, and audience insights
- Use mtheory templates to create social/digital audits, fan finders, plus song / EP / album reports
- Support internal reporting needs by pulling relevant data and insights
- Social media & content creation
- Assist in creating and scheduling engaging content for Instagram and LinkedIn, ensuring alignment with EA voice and initiatives
- Support in the creation of graphics and captions to promote artist initiatives and industry updates
- Create and manage newsletters via Mailchimp, including drafting content, formatting, and tracking engagement metrics
- Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities to increase engagement
- General support
- Collaborate with the team to brainstorm content ideas and refine marketing strategies
- Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging platforms, and best practices in digital marketing
- Assist with additional administrative or project-based tasks as needed
Preferred Skills
- Passion in advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within Country music and Nashville.
- Enthusiasm and a desire to learn
- A self-starter who can take direction but work independently
- An approachable and positive attitude
- Be well versed in the Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Pages) to create and update reports
- Experience managing social media accounts and scheduling content
- Graphic design and basic video editing skills
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Capcut as content creation tools
- Great organizational skills and an ability to multitask
- A strong interest in music, artist and business management
- Previous internship experience in the industry is beneficial
Position Information
- Internship is part-time (preferred: minimum of 3 days per week, for 15 weeks)
- Internship is paid at the minimum wage of the state in which the office the intern is working in
- College credit is available
- Access to a reliable internet connection is required for this position
