Role Description
MTG is seeking a skilled Welder for a full-time position at our Westfield, MA facility. The Welder will be responsible for performing various welding processes such as TIG, MIG, and Arc welding on different materials to meet project specifications and quality standards. Daily tasks include interpreting blueprints, setting up and operating welding equipment, inspecting materials and finished products, and collaborating with the team to ensure seamless production flow. Safety, precision, and adherence to quality standards are top priorities in this role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in TIG Welding, and MIG Welding techniques
- Experience in general Welding practices and working with a variety of Materials
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Knowledge of safety guidelines and standards for a welding environment
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Physical stamina to perform job tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Previous experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment is a plus
- Welding certifications or equivalent technical training is preferred
· Minimum 2-year welding experience OR completion of welding school
