Overview
Responsible for coordinating all aspects of Research Tissue donation including authorization for donation and conducting Medical /Social History review, through final disposition of donor during business and non-business hours including weekends and holidays. Acts as liaison between IIAM and various organizations including OPOs, tissue banks, hospitals and research entities.

Responsible for coordinating all aspects of Research Tissue donation including authorization for donation and conducting Medical /Social History review, through final disposition of donor during business and non-business hours including weekends and holidays. Acts as liaison between IIAM and various organizations including OPOs, tissue banks, hospitals and research entities.
Responsibilities
- Screens potential Research donors against research criteria.
- Interacts with OPOs, tissue banks and other Research Tissue partners to obtain legal documents for authorization as well as a current medical chart in order to appropriately screen and disseminate donor and organ information.
- Coordinates retrieval, transportation and delivery of all accepted Research Tissue.
- Tracks Research Tissue information and outcomes into database.
- Attends monthly Placement Coordinator meetings as requested.
- Performs all aspects of Research Tissue donation in accordance with IIAM SOPs and in compliance with all company policies and standards as well as those of applicable regulatory bodies.
- Assists on special projects and performs additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- 1 Year of experience
- Excellent time management skills
- High level of communication skills
