MTech Construction is seeking motivated Telecommunications Construction Technicians to support the installation and maintenance of underground utility infrastructure throughout rural and urban service areas. Team members in this role work alongside experienced construction crews operating equipment, preparing job sites, installing communication facilities, and helping deliver reliability to customers.
Opportunities are available for both regular full-time employment and seasonal summer positions.
What You’ll Do
- Operate construction equipment used for underground utility installation, including trenching, boring, and plowing machinery
- Assist with the installation of telecommunications infrastructure in accordance with project specifications and safety standards
- Perform utility exposure and site preparation activities prior to construction
- Restore work areas following construction activities, including grading, cleanup, and property restoration
- Inspect, maintain, and care for assigned tools, equipment, and vehicles
- Record production quantities, equipment usage, materials, and daily work activities
- Support construction crews with various field tasks as project needs require
- Interact and communicate professionally with home and property owners as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL is a plus
- Prior experience in utility, telecommunications, excavation, or construction industries preferred
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, maps, and word orders
- Strong focus on workplace safety and quality workmanship
- Willingness to work outside in varying weather and field conditions
- Reliable attendance and a positive team-oriented attitude
- Ability to perform physically demanding work
