Job Summary
MTE is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Husqvarna Robotic Mower Installation Technician. This position is primarily responsible for installing, programming, supporting, and troubleshooting Husqvarna robotic mower systems at residential and commercial customer locations. When workload permits, this position will also assist in setups of other equipment sold and serviced by MTE.
Based out of our branch, the role combines field installations with in-shop equipment setup and technical support. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable with technology, able to work independently, and committed to providing a professional customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Install Husqvarna robotic mower systems, including charging stations, reference stations, boundary components, and related equipment.
- Program, map, configure, and update robotic mower systems and software.
- Evaluate customer properties and determine appropriate equipment placement and installation requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve installation, connectivity, mapping, and operational issues.
- Educate customers on system operation, maintenance, and best practices.
- Perform inspections, maintenance, repairs, and seasonal service on equipment.
- Assemble and prepare new and pre-owned turf equipment as needed.
- Follow manufacturer specifications and company safety and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate installation and service documentation.
- Keep company vehicles, tools, and work areas clean and organized.
- Coordinate with sales, parts, and service teams to provide a seamless customer experience.
- Represent MTE professionally during all customer interactions and field visits
Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with technology, software, and connected equipment.
- Experience with equipment installation, maintenance, diagnostics, landscaping, electrical systems, or outdoor power equipment preferred.
- Experience with Husqvarna robotic mowers is preferred, but training will be provided.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to read installation instructions, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally to customers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Willingness to travel locally for installations, service calls, and customer support.
- Electrical experience is a plus!

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
