Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and staff management to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Support the management of inventory control processes, including ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction to optimize profitability.
- Supervise and train staff on food handling procedures, food safety standards, and customer service best practices to foster a positive work environment.
- Manage shift schedules, monitor labor costs, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all departments.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation with accuracy.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain high standards in food production, cooking techniques, and presentation consistent with brand quality.
- Assist in interviewing, onboarding new team members, and supporting their ongoing training & development to build a skilled workforce.
- Support management in budgeting activities and financial reporting to meet operational goals.
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure guest satisfaction remains a top priority.
- Contribute to creating an energetic atmosphere that promotes teamwork, hospitality excellence, and continuous improvement.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service management within quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary skills, and kitchen management practices.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead teams effectively in high-pressure settings.
- Expertise in POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales transactions and inventory tracking.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to handle cash handling responsibilities accurately.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and procedures for maintaining cleanliness and compliance in both casual dining and fine dining settings.
- Experience managing budgets, controlling costs, and implementing inventory control measures.
- Leadership qualities that inspire staff training & development while fostering a positive team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently during shift management while maintaining attention to detail.
- Hospitality management background with experience in catering or banquet services is a plus.
