Protective Security Officer Supervisor (FPS) - Arkansas (Incumbent Force)

Duties/Responsibilities

The PSO Supervisor shall perform duties in accordance with applicable Post Orders, the Performance Work Statement (PWS), contract requirements, and MTAC policies. Duties include:

• Supervise PSOs assigned to multiple locations and ensure all required posts are properly staffed.
• Conduct site/post inspections to verify employee performance, uniform/equipment compliance, and adherence to Post Orders.
• Monitor schedules, call-offs, staffing shortages, and open posts; coordinate qualified coverage while minimizing unnecessary overtime.
• Respond to operational and staffing issues and provide post coverage when necessary.
• Ensure PSOs maintain required licenses, certifications, training, credentials, uniforms, and equipment.
• Address employee performance, conduct, and compliance concerns and document incidents or violations as required.
• Prepare and review reports involving incidents, unusual occurrences, staffing, and other operational matters.
• Maintain communication with MTAC management, employees, Government representatives, and site personnel.
• Assist with training, documentation, inspections, and contract compliance requirements.
• Travel between assigned sites to provide supervisory and operational support.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience in security, protective services, or law enforcement.
• Multi-site security supervision experience preferred.
• Must successfully complete all required background, suitability, and credentialing requirements.
• Must meet all applicable contract requirements for armed PSO personnel and supervisors.
• Must possess and maintain required licenses, firearms qualifications, certifications, and credentials.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel between assigned sites.
• Ability to effectively supervise personnel, resolve staffing issues, enforce requirements, and prepare accurate reports.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English and follow written Post Orders, policies, and procedures.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position.

License/Certification Requirements

• Active Armed Arkansas License
• Valid Driver's License
• Required Government suitability, credentials, and/or security clearance

Schedule

This position requires regular travel between multiple assigned sites. Schedule flexibility is required based on operational and staffing needs, including varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and additional hours as necessary.

Training Requirements

• FPS 36-Hour or 64-Hour Basic Training
• NWDTP 16 Hour Exhibit
• DHS 8 Hour Orientation
• FPS Initial Weapons Training
• Baton and OC Spray Certification
• 36-Hour Basic Training Refresher (if Initial Basic Training is 3 years old)
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification - by American Red Cross or American Heart Association ONLY.
