Certified Construction Materials Testing Laboratory Technician
MTA Engineers is seeking a Certified Construction Materials Testing Laboratory Technician to join our team in Springdale, AR. If you're dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced laboratory environment, we'd like to hear from you.
Job Type

Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Occasional overtime as needed
Work Location
- In person (Springdale, AR)
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing on asphalt, aggregates, soils, and concrete.
- Review project plans and specifications to determine appropriate testing methods.
- Accurately record and communicate test results to the Laboratory Supervisor.
- Calibrate laboratory equipment and maintain calibration records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory.
- Coordinate with Field Technicians to ensure efficient workflow between field and laboratory operations.
- Follow company safety procedures and quality standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of Construction Materials Testing experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required Certifications
Current ARDOT, NICET, or equivalent certifications in one or more of the following:
- Aggregates
- Asphalt
- Soils
- Concrete
Requirements
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Professional and courteous attitude with clients and coworkers.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds daily.
