What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mt Washington Elementary- Boys Basketball Coach position at Mt. Washington Elementary School?
Mt. Washington Elementary School is seeking a student-centered, enthusiastic individual to serve as the Head Coach for our boys 4th/5th grade basketball program. The ideal candidate will provide leadership and direction for the team while creating a positive, supportive, and developmentally appropriate experience for elementary-aged student-athletes.
The Head Coach will be responsible for planning and leading practices, preparing for games, developing players’ fundamental skills and knowledge of the game, coordinating with assistant coach, and managing the overall organization and communication of the program. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with school administration, families, staff, players, officials, and other coaches.
Candidates should have a genuine love for working with students and demonstrate patience, compassion, strong leadership, dependability, organization, and flexibility. The successful candidate must be able to communicate in a positive, professional, and encouraging manner while setting clear expectations for players and families.
Evening and weekend availability is required for practices and games.
