We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to support our facilities and manufacturing operations. Duties
- Assist with routine maintenance and repairs across manufacturing or residential facilities
- Read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals
- Operate tools including ohmmeters, welders, and other hand or power tools
- Perform welding and basic electrical work to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Conduct residential painting as needed for facility upkeep or improvement projects
- Support preventive maintenance programs using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software
- Supervise or coordinate with contractors or team members during maintenance projects
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and facility standards
- Assist in supervising maintenance activities, providing leadership when required
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
Skills
- Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics reading
- Mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance, welding, electrical systems, and residential painting
- Ability to operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot electrical issues
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment maintenance procedures
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective teamwork and customer service interactions
- Supervising experience or leadership skills to oversee maintenance tasks effectively
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and documentation
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Basic knowledge of safety standards related to electrical work, welding, and general facilities maintenance
