Lateral Transfer/Recruit Officer

Now hiring for (2) full-time CERTIFIED police officers or entry level officers!

Current Certified KY POPS or Good Standing Out of State Certified officers start out at $24.95 per hour. New recruits start at $23.40

Successful candidate will be able to:

• Deter crimes and assure community safety through high-visibility policing
• Investigate crimes and apprehend suspected law violators
• Patrol assigned areas and monitor activities to protect people/property
• Conduct initial investigations
• Gather evidence and ensure successful prosecutions
• Observe and respond to various situations or emergencies
• Attend and provide evidence in court

Applicant must :

• Be a US Citizen
• Be at least 21 years old
• Have a high school diploma or GED
• Have a valid driver's license
• Have no felony convictions
• Be legally able to possess a firearm
• Not have anything other than an honorable discharge from the military (if candidate served)
• Be able to pass an extensive background check
• If a lateral, you must be certified, and you must be in good standing.
