Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food safety and handling procedures are followed to maintain high standards of hygiene.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and measuring.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including cooking stations and equipment.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages.
- Participate in catering events as needed, ensuring that all meals meet dietary requirements and preferences.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Experience in meal preparation within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
