Overview
We are looking for a nurturing, patient, and dependable Infant Teacher to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, provides a safe and loving environment for our littlest learners, and supports each child's development through engagement, care, and routine. This role involves building strong relationships with families, working as part of a team, and providing high-quality care that meets state licensing standards.
Duties
- Provide attentive, responsive care to infants ranging from 6 weeks to 12 months old.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and nurturing classroom environment at all times.
- Maintain appropriate licensing ratios and follow all safety, sanitation, and health guidelines.
- Assist with feeding, diapering, naptime, and daily hygiene routines.
- Implement age-appropriate activities that support cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.
- Track and encourage developmental milestones for each child.
- Maintain daily communication with parents through notes, apps, or face-to-face updates.
- Build meaningful, positive relationships with families to support children’s needs and routines.
- Complete daily reports and documentation such as attendance, feeding schedules, and incident reports.
- Work cooperatively with co-teachers and staff to create a supportive classroom environment.
- Follow all center policies, licensing regulations, and health/safety standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or higher; CDA or Early Childhood Education degree preferred.
- Prior childcare or infant room experience is highly preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain upon hire).
- Kind, reliable, and passionate about working with young children.
