Job Summary: The Program Director is responsible for the overall management of the Adult Day Servies program and the delivery of services to all clients enrolled.

Mount Olivet Rolling Acres – MORA – is a diverse and inclusive nonprofit that has supported adults, seniors and children with developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs as well as age-related and chronic medical conditions for over 50 years in the Twin Cities metro.

MORA provides an array of services: Adult Day Services, Contracted Case Management, Community Supports, over 30 Residential Homes, Respite, Therapeutic Recreation, Training for Guardians & Families, and a Discover Summer Daytime Programming for Youth with Disabilites. Our Metro Crisis Coordination Program (MCCP) offers a safety net of crucial and cost-effective services for adults and children.

Salary: $2,770.00-$3,307.69 Biweekly

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and manage the day-to-day operations of the Adult Day Services program, the Community Supports Program and the Recreation Program.
  • Supervise Adult Day Services, Community Supports and Recreation Programming leadership staff. Maintain/assist other programmatic leadership in creating the daily staff schedule, recruit, hire, train and evaluate staffs.
  • Develop a flexible staffing plan to allow for program growth and expansion.
  • Oversee the coordination and support other programmatic leadership in the intake process for new client admissions. Facilitates the individual care plan process of assessment, plan development, plan implementation and evaluation. Ensure all necessary documentation is completed in a timely manner.
  • Participates in client's interdisciplinary team meetings as needed.
  • Ensures a plan for activities and programs are in place to support clients' needs, interests and preferences. Oversee the development of Rec Programming including children’s/adults summer programming.
  • Purchases necessary program supplies and equipment. Ensures equipment and materials are in good repair.
  • Develops, implements and monitors program budgets. Ensures the programs maintain strong financials through client occupancy rates, DHS rate reviews and client admits.
  • Develop a plan for the transportation of clients. Ensure drivers are trained and meet all necessary requirements. Ensures all vehicles are in good repair, works with the transportation coordinator/fleet maintenance team(s) to ensure transportation needs are met and future needs are planned for.
  • Develop and implements a marketing plan to ensure a full census of clients in all three programs (ADS, Community Supports and Recreation Programming).
  • Serve as a program liaison to funding agencies, community resources, parents, guardians, residential programs and other professionals. Collaborate with the Development Team to apply for grant opportunities and maintain the data needed for grant reporting. Maintains and updates contracts with providers (Dietician, Physical Therapist etc.) as needed for 245A and upon determinations within 245D.
  • Research and develop opportunities for the development of new programs and services to facilitate program growth and expansion.
  • Works with the Compliance and EHR specialist to assure compliance and the meeting of regulations.
  • Primary accountability for compliance with all regulations and licensing requirements of governmental agencies.
  • Participate, attend and/or chair committees, teams and or focus groups as needed or assigned. Participate in the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Works harmoniously with and shows due respect for employees, supervisors, vendors and clients.
  • Collaborative methodology across departments and teams.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • Must pass Department of Human Services background check and maintain “qualified” status
  • Must not be excluded from working in government health programs by the Office of Inspector General
  • Must be able to successfully complete company’s physical job demands document
  • If using own vehicle for company business, you must have a current valid driver’s license and must have insurance as required by state law.
  • Completion of a BS/ BA in therapeutic recreation, nursing, social work or a related Health and Human services degree.
  • At least 5 years of experience planning and delivering therapeutic recreation or health/social services for individuals with disabilities including two years in supervision and administration.
  • Proven leadership skills – ability and experienced in supervising, directing and evaluating staff.

Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience designing, adapting and facilitating recreation and leisure experiences for individuals with disabilities.
  • Working knowledge of licensing requirements and regulations related to Adult Day Services (245A) and/or Day Support Services (245D) in Minnesota.
  • Proven communication skills.
