As a member of the Excess Casualty division of Everest Insurance, part of the Everest Re Group, Ltd., you will serve as a Senior Underwriter or AVP, Excess Casualty Underwriter for the Western Region. You’ll be based in either our San Francisco or Los Angeles office. Your Responsibilities: Market and underwrite Excess Casualty business Identify exposures across a wide variety of business types Analyze contracts Adhere to underwriting rules and guidelines Develop and maintain relationships with brokers to facilitate a flow of desirable new business and maintain renewal business through quality service Collaborate with other product lines to provide full product support to your clients Your Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher and/or insurance certifications At least 8 years of experience underwriting casualty business Proven ability to generate profitable new business Strong relationship management skills Excellent analytical, communication, and computer skills Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment A customer-oriented approach #LI-Hybrid #LI-RS1 For California Only: Your base salary range for this position is $152,000 - $205,000 annually. Your compensation will be based on your education, experience, qualifications, and work location.
