By State law, all positions that work with children require all three CHILD CLEARANCES be obtained prior to the first day of work. You should allow 4-6 weeks to obtain all clearances. If you work for at least one month, we will reimburse for the cost of the clearances ($60.25) that are obtained for you to work for us. CASHIER (PART TIME)
NATURE OF WORK
This part time position works at the Mt. Lebanon Racket Center performing registration and customer service functions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Greets and assists the public.
- Answers phone calls and provides information.
- Handles registrations through a point-of-sale system.
- Manages admissions to facilities through appropriate admission policies and procedures.
- Balances the daily transactions.
- Manages the daily facilities schedule.
- Responds to emergency situations.
- Assists with special events as needed.
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Performs all other work as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to quickly learn athletic scheduling software.
- Able to function under pressure.
- Knowledge of common computer programs and office machines, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work various schedules including weekends and evenings.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma/G.E.D. or currently enrolled in High School.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL AND MENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Hearing, seeing (close up and distance), standing, sitting, bending, hand movements, holding, lifting (10 lbs.) waving arms, pushing, pulling, reaching, grasping, and feeling. Understand the speech of another person. Speak clearly so listeners can understand.
Maintain accurate registration details and financial transactions. Decisions on proper behavior relative to facility rules. Able to respond in emergency and high-stress situations.
