Lawn Care Foreman
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Lawn Care Foreman to join our team. This position is for someone who knows the lawn care industry, can lead a crew, operate equipment, drive a truck and trailer, and can be counted on to show up every day ready to work.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and can complete properties efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead and work alongside a lawn mowing crew
- Drive company truck and trailer safely between job sites
- Perform commercial and residential lawn maintenance
- Operate zero-turn mowers, walk-behind mowers, string trimmers, edgers and blowers
- Properly load, secure and transport equipment
- Follow daily routes and keep the crew on schedule
- Make sure properties are completed correctly before leaving
- Communicate with management regarding job-site issues or customer concerns
- Perform basic equipment inspections and report maintenance issues
- Maintain clean trucks, trailers and equipment
- Train and supervise crew members
- Follow company safety procedures
Requirements
- Previous professional lawn care/mowing experience required
- Valid driver's license and clean/reasonable driving record
- Must be comfortable driving a pickup truck with a landscape trailer
- Experience operating commercial lawn equipment
- Dependable transportation to and from work
- Strong attendance and punctuality
- Ability to lead and manage a small crew
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the day
- Attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Must be dependable and able to work independently without constant supervision
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate already has experience working for a professional lawn or landscape company and understands what is expected of a foreman. We want someone who can be given a truck, trailer, crew and route and be trusted to get the work completed safely, efficiently and correctly.
Reliability is extremely important for this position. We need someone who shows up on time, takes responsibility for their crew and equipment, and can be counted on throughout the season.
