Mt. Juliet Christian Academy is seeking a passionate and experienced band/ music educator. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain and enhance students' relationship with God through teaching and mentoring. In addition to teaching, you will be responsible for band, marching band, Jazz/pep band. This includes renting rights to productions and soundtracks, managing memberships, sheet music and audio rights, costumes, stage creation and props, and coordinating with the Communications Director for promotional material. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Teach daily band classes
- Manage marching band and attend football games
- Schedule rehearsals
- Organize performances and trips
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues; demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
- Promote the mission of FBCMJ and uphold the principles of Kingdom Education.
- Develop and implement lesson plans for all instructional activities.
- Maintain appropriate classroom behavior and discipline.
- Supervise assigned extracurricular activities, student organizations, and school outings.
- Exhibit a personal and growing walk with the Lord, demonstrated through daily life and conduct.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Collaborate well with colleagues and adapt to a dynamic and evolving academic environment.
Salary : $45,000 - $50,000
