Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Assistant) to join our team on a part-time basis, with the potential to grow into a full-time role. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about patient care. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation is essential. This position offers opportunity for growth within general dentistry, including exposure to crowns and bridges, root canals, clear aligner ortho, and implant restorations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Sterilize and prepare instruments and treatment rooms
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Current EFDA certification (required)
- Radiology certification (required)
- Dental assisting experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- Experience with dental software systems
- Commitment to excellent patient care
- Strong organizational skills
