About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager on the Data Team to support the coordination, tracking, and quality management of study data across our operations portfolio. This role reports to the VP of Operations and is a full-time on-site position.

The Assistant Project Manager will be an integral part of the operations team, helping manage study records, maintain research databases, support case report forms, and data tracking workflows, and ensure internal data deliverables are accurate, organized, and on schedule. This role requires strong organizational judgment, careful attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.

This is a high-visibility support role that works closely with Study Managers, Project Managers, the Quality Manager, the VP of Operations, Business Development, and company leadership. The right candidate will be disciplined, resourceful, and able to take ownership of responsibilities, identify risks early, communicate clearly, and help keep studies moving on schedule. 

What you’ll do

• Maintain and manage research databases, study trackers, and other internal data records 
• Assist with study data collection and tracking through MT Group case report forms, internal databases, and supporting documentation 
• Review records for completeness, missing information, and inconsistencies, and escalate issues when appropriate 
• Extract and organize required study data from source documentation and patient research records 
• Assist with implementing data quality control measures throughout the study lifecycle 
• Support project teams in tracking timelines, milestones, and data-related deliverables across multiple studies 
• Communicate project updates regularly to internal MT Group teams 
• Create templates, trackers, study aids, and other tools to support internal workflows 
• Assist with site onboarding and study documentation as needed 
• Maintain shipment records and other operational documentation tied to study execution 
• Provide administrative and operational support to senior management 
• Work cross-functionally with US and international sites supporting large biospecimen banking collections 
• Help the company meet study timelines, milestones, and operational deliverables 
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and customer service in all internal and external interactions 
• Perform other duties as assigned

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in clinical research, healthcare, life sciences, or the pharmaceutical industry 
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines simultaneously 
• High attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy across databases, trackers, study records, and communications 
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills 
• Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
• Comfort working with detail-heavy data, documentation, and study records 
• Ability to review information carefully for accuracy, completeness, and consistency 
• Willingness to work additional or flexible hours when needed, including occasional weekends

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in project coordination, project management, data coordination, research operations, or a similar role 
• Experience supporting pharmaceutical or clinical research studies 
• Experience working with case report forms, research databases, or study tracking tools 
• Experience in a clinic, hospital, or other healthcare setting 
• Familiarity with oncology terminology 
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent projects
