CRT only $ /hr DOE (must obtain RRT within 1 year of hire)

RRT $40.00-$48.00/hr DOE

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments focusing on respiratory status, vital signs, and physiological parameters to determine appropriate interventions.
• Administer and monitor respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy, nebulization, airway management procedures, and ventilator support tailored to individual patient needs.
• Manage and troubleshoot ventilator systems ensuring optimal functioning for critically ill patients or emergency settings.
• Assist with airway management techniques such as intubation and suctioning to secure airways and maintain patient safety during acute episodes.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Maintain detailed documentation of treatments provided, patient responses, medication administration, and vital signs in compliance with hospital protocols.
• Stay current with medical terminology, physiology knowledge, anatomy fundamentals, and pulmonology advancements to ensure the highest standards of care.

Requirements

• Valid certification as a Respiratory Care Practitioner or equivalent credential recognized by relevant health authorities.
• Proven experience in hospital medicine environments with exposure to emergency medicine, critical care (ICU), and long term care
• Demonstrated proficiency in airway management techniques and ventilator troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, pulmonology concepts, and medical terminology relevant to respiratory therapy.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics and geriatrics in inpatient or outpatient settings.
• Ability to perform patient assessments accurately by evaluating vital signs and respiratory function under pressure during acute care situations.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and educate patients about their respiratory health. Pay: $ $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 – 48.0 per week
