What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Funeral Director position at Mt. Carmel Funeral Home?
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate and professional Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer to join an established funeral home serving families in the El Paso area.
Fluency in both English and Spanish is required for this position. Our funeral home serves a large Spanish-speaking community, and the successful candidate must be comfortable conducting arrangements and communicating professionally and compassionately with families in both languages.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Current Texas Funeral Directors License, Dual Funeral Director/Embalmer License preferred
- Minimum of one year funeral director experience
- Fluent in English & Spanish
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with computers with strong knowledge of MS Office
- Dependable, responsible and able to work well with a team
- Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record
Responsibilities:
- Obtain vital information and coordinating removals in a professional and timely manner
- Meet with families, assisting in the selection of funeral services that meets their needs.
- Handle sensitive situations in a professional manner
- Obtain permits as needed for the funeral arrangement process
- Assist in preparing forms/disclosures as need for funeral arrangements
- Coordinating and directing funeral/memorial services with professionalism, care and compassion
- Prepare print material for funeral services
- Offer continued support to our families even after the final disposition has taken place
