Mt. Carmel Funeral Home is currently seeking a licensed funeral director for their El Paso, TX location. Mt. Carmel Funeral Home strives to serve our families and their loved ones with the utmost respect, compassion and care attending to their needs during a difficult time.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain vital information and coordinating removals in a professional and timely manner
  • Meet with families, assisting in the selection of funeral services that meets their needs.
  • Obtain permits as needed for the funeral arrangement process
  • Assist in preparing forms/disclosures as need for funeral arrangements
  • Coordinating funeral services on behalf of the families we serve including but not limited to setting up viewing/visitation, confirming officiant for services, communicating with cemetery/crematory regarding final disposition.
  • Prepare print material for funeral services (i.e. registerbooks, memorial folders, etc.)
  • Direct funeral/memorial services with professionalism, care and compassion
  • Handle sensitive situations in a professional manner
  • Offer continued support to our families even after the final disposition has taken place

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Must possess a current Texas funeral directors license, dual funeral director/embalmer preferred
  • Minimum of one year funeral director experience preferred
  • Proficient with computers with strong knowledge of MS Office
  • Able to type 45 wpm
  • Must have a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to push and pull 150 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excellent Driving Record
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish)
