Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team on the night shift from Thursday through Sunday. In this role, you will provide direct nursing care to residents in an assisted living setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being during overnight hours. You will work closely with caregivers and on-call providers to monitor health conditions, respond to concerns, and maintain accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with resident care plans and physician orders
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and respond promptly to concerns
- Complete timely and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and team members
- Supervise and support nursing assistants and caregiving staff as needed
- Respond to emergencies and follow established protocols
- Ensure a calm, safe, and supportive environment during overnight hours
- Participate in shift reports and handoff communication
Qualifications:
- Current, active LPN license in good standing
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or geriatric nursing preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Night shift coverage, Thursday through Sunday
- Low-light, quiet overnight setting with periodic rounds
- On-call provider support available as needed
