We are looking for a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering high-quality care and services to our residents. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented MDS Coordinator to join our team. The MDS Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments, coordinating care plans, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. You will be working with our current MDS Coordinator to ensure all MDS activities are completed timely.
Qualifications:
- Valid RN or LPN License
- BA degree in nursing or a related field preferred
- Current knowledge of coding systems (ICD-10)
- Proficiency in PCC
- Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid guidelines for reimbursement
- Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in skilled care
Essential Functions
- Coordinates, records, updates, and monitors all minimum date sets.
- Collects and reports data on topics such as resident encounters and inter-institutional problems, making recommendations for change when appropriate.
- Coordinates communication between residents, family members, medical staff, administrative staff, & payor source.
- Understands the financial concepts and implications of RUG IV, PPS, and state case mix.
- Ensures all MDS assessments and RUGs are accurate, completed, encoded, edited, printed, and exported per state and federal requirements.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
