Job Title: Facilities Director
Schedule: Monday to Friday, plus after hours as needed
Job Duties:
- Hire, supervise, and manage the performance of maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry team members and ensure that all team members follow established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies
- Develops and maintains effective communication with department team members, other managers, and residents; works interdepartmentally and cooperatively to provide a homelike environment for residents
- Coordinates with contractors and venders making sure insurance and licenses are current
- Conducts regular inspections of all Life Safety Systems, including fire extinguishers, sprinklers, and alarm systems; ensures that departments are meeting State, Federal, and other related standards
- Maintains inventory control for all general supplies, parts and equipment
- Manage the department within budgetary guidelines tracking inventory usage and ordering supplies when necessary
- Understands and implements the role of the department's safety and disaster plan
- Ensures standards of cleanliness and sanitation are met to the maximum level of quality
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years of maintenance or housekeeping experience, preferably in a health care setting
- 2-year(s) experience in a supervisory capacity, in a maintenance or housekeeping related position
- Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
- Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations
- Must understand and practice the principles of effective teamwork
