Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing clothing alterations and custom tailoring to ensure a perfect fit for our clients. This role involves working with a variety of garments, including suits, jackets, pants, dresses, wedding dresses, and all kinds of clothing alterations for men, women, and kids. The successful applicant will have a keen eye for detail, excellent sewing skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality craftsmanship in a timely manner.
Duties
- Perform clothing alterations on a wide range of garments such as suits, jackets, pants, dresses, and wedding dresses.
- Customize and tailor clothing to meet clients' specifications for fit and style.
- Make precise adjustments including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, resizing, and repairing garments.
- Ensure all alterations are completed with attention to detail and craftsmanship standards.
- Consult with clients to understand their tailoring needs and provide expert recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
- Keep up-to-date with current sewing techniques and fashion trends to deliver modern and well-finished garments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in clothing alterations and tailoring across various types of garments.
- Strong sewing skills with proficiency in using industrial sewing machines and hand stitching techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in measurements and stitching.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team.
