Job Overview
We are seeking someone with knowledge of hydraulics to service our clients in need of hydraulic hoses and fittings. In this role, you will be responsible for helping all hydraulic customers as well as supporting all shop operations. This will include our Fabrication Shop, Machine Shop, Paint, Warehousing, and Shipping Departments.
We have a fantastic crew of men and women employed currently, and are hoping to add to it!
Duties
- Measure, cut, and crimp hydraulic hoses to exact manufacturer specifications using specialized cutting and crimping tools.
- Identify hydraulic system issues, worn hoses, or damaged fittings and determine the safest and most efficient repair solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of parts, manage stock in service vans or workshops, and place orders for necessary replacement components.
- Remove, replace, and install hose assemblies while ensuring clean, leak-free, and proper routing to prevent future friction or damage.
- Interact with clients to provide on-site mobile hose replacement, quote projects, and deliver excellent service.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load and unload shipments efficiently and safely
- Preparing projects for fabrication and paint in a timely manner
- Support shipping and receiving operations by preparing orders
- Handle materials with care during fabrication projects
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing basic maintenance on tools like forklifts or cranes
- Support all departments by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Expectation to support our Mobile Maintenance team in the fieldRequirements
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs or troubleshooting on shop machinery
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, load & unload tasks, and extended periods of standing or walking
- Understanding of OSHA safety standards and best practices for materials handling and equipment operation
- Previous experience in welding or fabrication environments is a major plus
- Excellent team work skills and problem solving ability
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and accuracy
- MSHA Certification (previous or current) is not required but would be very beneficial.
