Location: MSU Union
Pay Rate: $13.73/hr
As a student Facilities Building Worker, you will perform routine building maintenance including cleaning, event set-up, and repairs. You will also be responsible for activities like sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and emptying trash.
Typical Duties May Include

Physical Demands
Please note this position is required to work every other weekend.
Mon-Sun – Various shifts between

As a student Facilities Building Worker, you will perform routine building maintenance including cleaning, event set-up, and repairs. You will also be responsible for activities like sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and emptying trash.
Typical Duties May Include
- Washing walls and windows, emptying trash, recycling and cleaning bathrooms
- Clean upholstery and carpet, buff and scrub floors, and make minor repairs
- Set-up and tear-down furniture after events
- Occasionally operate heavy machinery
- Be enrolled as a student at Michigan State University (during academic year)
- Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service
- Be able to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
- Be available to work every other weekend
- Be positive and respectful, especially when working with a diverse population
- Possess a valid U.S. Issued Drivers License and be able to meet and maintain the University’s driving standards
