What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Engineer position at MSSL Wiring Systems, Inc. Motherson Group?
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Collaborate with Customer contacts regarding MSSL wiring products
- Promote excellent relation with customer representatives acting as first responder
- Establish embedded residency within the customer location
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to assigned groups
- Coordinate sorting / containment actions when needed.
- Participating in DPAR Design Reviews and suggesting enhancements as required
- Provide post – launch and ongoing production support
- Daily walk-through reject and rework areas
- Negotiation of PPM impacts with customer
- Communicate with MSSL internal and external customers
- Track and communicate the Customer Concerns
- Work in a proactive way with the customer to make recommendations
- Recommend and provide training for harness product handling and repair tool usage
- Aid in the on-sight resolution of quality related issues associated with MSSL products and analyze how these may affect warranty claims
- Provide general activities reports on a weekly basis
- Ensure shipment of samples back and forth between customer and MSSL sites on time.
- Availability to do business trips to other customer locations
EDUCATION:
o Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field
o Continuing education and enhancing technical knowledge
SKILLS:
o Strong presentation and customer knowledge skills
o Good communication, listening, technical writing, team leadership and project management skills
o English conversational level skill
o Familiar with industry trends and general vehicle systems
o Good organizational skills for tracking assigned projects
o Ability to work in a team atmosphere
o Self-controlled and able to work without supervision.
o A general knowledge of JD Edwards system
o General knowledge of MS Tools with a strong computer background
o Strong time and activity management skills
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
