We are a Portuguese industrial company with operations in the United States. As part of our international growth, we are looking for a Welding Engineer to join our team in Memphis.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field;
- IWE, IWT or IWS certification (preferred);
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in welding engineering;
- Experience in quality and welding audits;
- Knowledge of international quality and welding standards, including ISO 9001, EN 1090 and EN ISO 3834 (preferred);
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead welding and fabrication activities, ensuring compliance with technical, quality, and customer requirements;
- Coordinate production, quality, engineering, and planning teams to achieve operational targets and deadlines;
- Drive production performance, resource planning, and on-time delivery;
- Ensure continuous improvement of welding processes, quality systems, and operational efficiency;
- Support audits, monitor KPIs, and implement corrective and improvement actions where necessary;
- Provide technical leadership in welding engineering and fabrication activities.
