Role And Responsibilities
The essential roles and responsibilities are outlined below:
- Install or replace split system or packaged HVAC systems
- Install copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including soldering and brazing
- Copper/Copper
- Complete systems
- Repair systems
- Recover, pressure test, evacuate, charge and leak test refrigerants - split systems
- Install and measure duct connections
- Use a variety of hand tools, interpret drawings, plans, and specifications, to install, assemble, and test the system Capable of identifying HVAC equipment and components of HVAC equipment
- Packaged, Split…..
- Compressor, Contactor, Suction/Discharge/Liquid lines, Condenser/Evaporator…….
- Complete understanding of the refrigeration cycle
- Complete understanding of the electrical system
- Complete understanding of the products control system
- Identify and recommend repairs needed
- Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company from time to time.
- Previous experience in residential or light commercial split-level install
- Able to evacuate and recharge systems
- Must have own hand tools
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
- Must successfully pass a background check
- Attending or completed HVAC technical training.
- Community College
- OJT
- Military HVAC/Electrical Training
- Possess or capable of obtaining Universal Certification
