Supply Attendant

Description:

This position supports all logistics, and organizational aspects of materials supporting the client network supply chain.

These responsibilities will include consolidation and staging of network material as well as occasional minor materials ordering for various work groups.

The Warehouse Attendant will also be required to provide contractor support as assigned.

The selected candidate must be able to operate lifting devices, such as pallet jack, forklift and lift gates and successfully pass OSHA required forklift training.

Order, receive and put away materials on shelves, and locations within the garage/storeroom.

Receive, verify, process goods receipts in SAP, consolidate and stage all materials for Network & BMG jobs.

Keep storeroom and garage well organized and clean. Checked caged areas and make sure they are clean, neat and orderly. All other assigned tasks.

Order minor material via CART.

Analyze orders/receipts and report errors including overages, shortages, and damages on all network material. Arrange and coordinate material pick up utilizing telephone, email, and/or fax.

Communicate effectively and problem solve with technicians, managers, and contractors. Identify and redirect lost or misdirected shipments.

Provide back up support for other Supply Attendants as needed. Must be able to perform strenuous physical activity but not limited to lifting/moving 75 lbs. loading and unloading reels more than 8,000 lbs.

Must satisfy CenturyLink and OSHA requirements to be certified as an operator on several types of material handling equipment, including various sizes and types of forklifts.

Must be able to demonstrate computer skills.

Should have ability to input data in spreadsheets, word docs and send as email attachment.

Complete training and demonstrate proficiency utilizing ordering systems including SAP and CART.

Must have a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record. Must be able to drive manual transmission.

Must be able to drive a company vehicle as required by the needs of the business.

Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor locations with temperature conditions ranging due to cold and hot seasons of local weather.

Must be able to access overhead shelving using stepladders.

Must be self-motivated. Must be able to take direction.

Successful completion of all testing (dependent on job title) and interviews required for this position.

Experience and knowledge of material and tools used by network technicians. Knowledge of Cable and Fiber Material.

Knowledgeable and experienced in identifying Construction materials.

Knowledgeable of Electrostatic Discharge Handling (ESC) Process; 1-2 years’ experience
