Job Summary
RTX/Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Mission Systems Multi-Domain Assured Navigation and Timing Applications (MANTA) team. The engineer will be responsible for systems engineering, integration, verification, and testing of real-time embedded navigation and timing solutions used in military ground, airborne, and maritime platforms.
The role involves close collaboration with systems, software, and hardware engineering teams to develop Assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (APNT) products for defense applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, manage, and maintain system requirements and design documentation.
- Develop requirements traceability and verification strategies.
- Design, develop, and execute verification and validation test procedures.
- Perform system integration and testing in secure lab environments.
- Conduct peer reviews of requirements, test plans, and design artifacts.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and systems engineering teams.
- Support technical problem-solving and issue resolution activities.
- Communicate project status and technical updates to stakeholders.
- Contribute to proposal development and new business pursuits.
- Support continuous process improvement and lessons learned activities.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
Experience
- 5 years of Systems Engineering experience
- OR Master's Degree with 3 years of relevant experience
Technical Skills
- Systems Engineering lifecycle experience
- Requirements development and management
