Heavy Equipment Mechanic Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at MSR Technology Group. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks on the M1 Abrams tank and other tracked/wheeled vehicles.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on the M1 Abrams tank and other tracked/wheeled vehicles;
- Collaborate with the Field Service Representative to identify and resolve technical issues;
- Develop and implement effective maintenance practices and procedures;
- Work closely with leadership to ensure smooth operation of maintenance processes;
- Travel to various military or field sites within the U.S. to perform maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Must have at least one year of experience working with heavy equipment;
- High school diploma or equivalent is required;
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are essential;
- Able to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications;
- Must be able to obtain necessary clearance to access US Military facilities;
- Physical demands include working at heights, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating in extreme temperatures;
- Must be a U.S. citizen;
- Possess a valid State Driver's License and be willing to obtain a tank driver's license if required;
- Meet anthropometric requirements for entering the driver's station or enclosed military vehicle;
- Strong understanding of customer relationships and service standards;
- Maintain accountability of company assets and adhere to shop safety protocols;
- Ability to work independently with government personnel.
