Department: CC017120 Electro cardiology Job Description Summary: Position Responsibilities Performs diagnostic procedures employing specific technical skills required to produce quality results. Assesses quality of tracing to minimize artifacts and other problems. Able to perform specific tasks of EKG Technician regarding Holter Monitoring. Able to perform specific tasks of EKG Technician regarding Stress Tests. Able to perform specific tasks of EKG Technician regarding 12 lead EKG's. Able to perform device follow-up tests including initial interrogation and data retrieval from defibrillators. Able to obtain strip of device with and without magnet. Compares lead data with previous strip. Able to perform sensing and threshold testing. Reports supply shortages to department Team Leader/Manager/Director. Is able to attend patient needs to meet prescribed treatment based on the patient's assessment. Under the direction of the team leader/manager/director, is able to assume responsibility for new staff orientation.
