Responsibilities
- Assist with surface preparation by cleaning, sanding, and masking vehicles to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paint using spray equipment, hand tools, or power tools under supervision.
- Support auto body repair tasks such as buffing, detailing, and minor dent repairs.
- Use welding equipment and mechanical knowledge to assist with minor repairs and assembly tasks.
- Handle heavy lifting of parts and materials safely to support the painting and repair process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
Skills
- Previous dealership experience or exposure to auto body shops is a plus but not required.
- Basic welding skills and mechanical knowledge are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and auto painting equipment such as sprayers.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and auto restoration techniques.
- Experience buffing, detailing, and auto estimating is beneficial.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with team members and clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during auto body repair tasks.
