Job Title: Senior Broadcast Specialist
Location: Los Angeles, CA (100% Onsite)
Job Type: Contract
Key Responsibilities
Lead Tier 2 escalation support, performing advanced troubleshooting in alignment with SLAs and SOPs.
Manage the complete incident lifecycle — triage, escalation, tracking, and ownership through resolution.
Conduct thorough Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and prepare detailed post-mortem reports for major incidents.
Coordinate effectively with customers, vendors, and stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate outage communications.
Validate incoming issues, execute detailed diagnostics, and update trouble-ticket systems accurately.
Handle service requests, station turn-ups, and deployment of new broadcast and OTT (Over-the-Top) services.
Mentor and train Video Operations Analysts on tools, procedures, and RCA methodologies.
Maintain up-to-date infrastructure documentation including system diagrams, SOPs, workflows, and architecture overviews.
Actively participate in daily stand-ups, shift handovers, and major incident bridges to ensure operational continuity.
Provide continuous feedback to improve troubleshooting processes and maintain SOP relevance.
Required Skills & Experience
15 years of experience in broadcast engineering, network/system deployment, or operations support within Television Broadcast, OTT, Streaming, or MVPD environments.
7 years of experience as an L3 Engineer or Team Lead in a Video NOC (Network Operations Center) or technical support center.
NOC Monitoring & ITIL Processes: Incident/ticketing systems, problem management, RCA, and event handling.
Networking: Hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper CLI configurations, switching & routing, and firewalls (Fortinet, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX).
