Position Summary
The Test Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating testing activities throughout a Dayforce implementation, optimization, or enhancement project. This role works closely with client stakeholders, functional leads, technical teams, and resources to ensure the solution is thoroughly validated and ready for production.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the overall testing strategy, plan, schedule, and exit criteria.
- Lead testing activities across applicable phases, including Day-in-the-Life (DITL), Payroll Parallel, Integration testing, and cutover validation.
- Coordinate testing across workstreams, including HR/Core, Payroll, Workforce Management (WFM), Benefits, Talent, Integrations, Data, and Reporting, as applicable.
- Define testing scope, scenarios, test cases, expected results, and testing requirements.
- Ensure test scenarios validate both configuration and end-to-end business processes.
- Coordinate cross-functional and end-to-end testing involving multiple modules and integrations.
- Manage test execution schedules, tester assignments, dependencies, and completion status.
- Facilitate tester readiness, including test instructions, system access, test data, and prerequisite validation.
- Lead payroll comparison testing, validating hours, earnings, premiums, overtime, deductions, taxes, and other applicable payroll results.
- Coordinate testing of inbound and outbound integrations and validate data movement between primary system and third-party systems.
- Establish and manage the defect management and triage process, including severity, prioritization, ownership, resolution, retesting, and closure.
- Facilitate regular defect triage and testing status meetings with project stakeholders.
- Work with Project Manager to monitor testing progress against established entry and exit criteria and identify risks that could impact project milestones or go-live readiness.
- Work with Project Manager to maintain testing dashboards and provide clear reporting on execution progress, pass/fail rates, outstanding defects, and overall testing readiness.
- Escalate critical testing risks, blockers, and unresolved defects through the established project governance process.
- Coordinate regression testing following configuration changes and defect resolution.
- Ensure testing evidence, results, defects, decisions, and approvals are appropriately documented.
- Partner with functional and technical leads to confirm that identified defects are resolved and successfully retested.
- Support Go/No-Go readiness assessments and provide a testing recommendation based on established acceptance criteria.
- Obtain appropriate business and project stakeholder sign-off upon completion of testing phases.
Pay: Up to $50.00 per hour
