Staff Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily accounting functions including accounts receivable and accounts payable processing
• Prepare and post journal entries related to recurring and adjusting transactions
• Participate in the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial results
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Manage and update customer portals with required documentation, invoices, and reporting details
• Assist with cash applications, customer payments, and vendor invoice management
• Support inventory accounting and reconciliation, if applicable to production or manufacturing activities
• Collaborate with operations, sales, and management to ensure proper accounting of costs, revenue, and expenses
• Provide assistance with audit requests and other ad hoc reporting
• Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the accounting function
  
  

Requirements

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Working knowledge of AR/AP processes, month-end close procedures, and general ledger accounting
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with customer/vendor portals (e.g., Ariba, Coupa, or OEM-specific systems)
• Familiarity with inventory or cost accounting concepts
• Prior experience with NetSuite or similar ERP system a plus
