The Opportunity
The Electromechanical Technician Level I plays a hands‑on role in building and wiring electromechanical assemblies that support MSI TEC’s industrial automation solutions. This entry‑level position focuses on learning standard work practices, following detailed instructions, and supporting senior technicians to ensure assemblies are built safely, accurately, and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Read, understand, and utilize engineering, electrical, and manufacturing documents including bills of materials, assembly drawings, assembly instructions, schematics, and wiring diagrams with limited supervision.
- Construct moderately complex electromechanical assemblies and control panels in compliance with company and UL standards.
- Perform advanced layout, wiring, and wire management while adhering to NFPA 70 and UL508A requirements.
- Identify minor documentation gaps and provide feedback or suggestions for improvements to production documentation.
- Support multiple projects simultaneously, managing priorities and communicating status to Production Engineer and Production Manager.
- Complete accurate computer entries in MSI TEC’s digital systems for routing, work orders, material transactions, and labeling.
- Perform basic testing and work at the request of QC technicians or Engineering.
- Maintain safe, organized, and efficient work area and support safety culture through consistent PPE use and safe practices.
- Assist in training Level I technicians, answer technical questions, and model standard work behaviors.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in English (speak, read, and write).
- At least three years of hands-on experience working with electrical or electromechanical technology, with related education or formal training considered a plus but not required.
- Strong layout, wiring, and wire management skills with demonstrated ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, schematics, and work instructions.
- 1–2 years’ experience applying NFPA 70 standards (wire gauges, wire colors, etc.) and basic familiarity with UL508A.
- Experience with electrical safety and PPE requirements in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and manage time effectively to meet commitments with limited supervision.
- Proficiency with hand, power, and measurement tools in a safe and effective manner.
- Working knowledge of email, ERP systems, Microsoft Office, Teams, and label printing software.
- Positive attitude, interest in process improvement, and commitment to working as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications (nice to have)
- Experience with ISO 9001/ISO 9000 quality management systems and good documentation practices (GDP).
- Experience with calibration practices and torquing equipment.
- Basic understanding of STEM principles and ability to interpret technical material and troubleshoot issues.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit/stand, climb, balance, walk on concrete floors, stoop, bend, kneel, grip, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Compensation and Benefits
- $27-29/ hourly rate range, non‑exempt, based on experience, skills, and certifications.

Location and Schedule
This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Centennial, Colorado. Work hours are Monday through Friday, daytime schedule, with occasional overtime as business needs require.
Pay: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour
