ROLE DESCRIPTION
This is a full-time, on-site Human Resources Manager role based in Bloomington, IN. This position serves as the senior HR leader for the organization, responsible for the day-to-day HR operations in a fast-paced, field-based environment.
- Lead and oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and training
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support company growth and operational needs
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour regulations, OSHA standards, and industry-specific requirements
- Partner with operations leadership to support workforce and succession planning, and lead retention initiatives
- Provide guidance to managers on employee relations, disciplinary actions, and performance management; lead internal investigations and ensure proper documentation
- Oversee benefits administration, workers’ compensation and unemployment claims, and payroll coordination
- Own internal HR communications, including company-wide messaging and HR Help Desk operations
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a service-based or high-volume workforce environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus
- Strong working knowledge of federal and Indiana labor laws, including wage and hour compliance
- Proven experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations
- Experience supporting a distributed or multi-site workforce strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data management, and reporting
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Experience in security, law enforcement, or similar industries is a plus
