Shipping and Receiving Clerk - 2nd Shift

Job Description: Competitive Pay Rate: $18.00-$22.00 per hour Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Health Insurance Paid Time Off Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401K Schedule: 2nd Shift Work Location: On-site ROLE PURPOSE/ POSITION SUMMARY The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for the shipping and receiving of goods and supplies, as well as keeping accurate records of shipments and inventory. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Schedule inbound and outbound freight to comply with warehouse operations and capacities Meet or exceed all service and efficiency standards for shipping and receiving Handle all customers and customer representatives at the dispatch window Gather and maintain all data and records relative to shipping and receiving activities Maintain legible and accurate records and logs as required Assist in training new associates Assist in maintaining facility security Maintain the facility dock door control board to be accurate at all times Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and report unsafe conditions that can’t be self -corrected to the warehouse supervisor Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area in accordance with MSI’s standards of housekeeping Conduct yourself in a polite and service-oriented manner towards customer representatives and fellow associates This position has responsibility for Food Safety and Quality within their influence The associate in this job has the responsibility to report, in a timely manner, Food Safety and Quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action on those problems Perform additional duties as assigned by management QUALIFICATIONS/ CAPABILITY PROFILE Minimum Education High School diploma or equivalent Minimum Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities Ability to work specified shift Ability to work for the set wage amount Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with associates and/or customers Good interpersonal skills Ability to learn technical material to accomplish necessary objectives Ability to identify, locate, and disburse product Ability to function in a fast-paced environment Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb and/or sit frequently or through the duration of the shift Ability to load/unload, lift/move equipment/product which may weigh up to 100 pounds MSI Express is an equal opportunity employer.
