MSI Engineers, a top tier professional MEP engineering consulting firm with offices in Spokane WA and Missoula MT, is looking for an electrical engineer to join our team. We’re seeking an individual with basic industry knowledge that can contribute to our team and grow their career. Our focus is on producing top quality work in a fun, laid back environment while we execute a wide array of projects throughout the K-12, higher education, healthcare, municipal, government, commercial and industrial sectors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple simultaneous projects, assisting senior staff with tracking deliverables and deadlines.
- Attend meetings in person or remote as required, taking notes and following up on action items.
- Perform site visits to projects for as-building and construction observations, typically alongside a senior team member.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other engineering disciplines under supervision, escalating issues to senior staff as needed.
- With direct guidance from senior engineers, assist with load calculations, power study calculations, energy compliance documentation, photometrics, specifications, equipment sizing and cost estimates for electrical/power systems design.
- Develop proficiency in Autodesk Revit, supporting drafting tasks and the production of electrical/power system drawings under senior staff review.
- Support other duties such as code reviews, submittal reviews, and surveys of existing facilities and construction sites, building toward greater independence as experience grows.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and clients
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with AutoCAD MEP; Revit
- Engineer in Training Certification
Pay Range
- $60-80k/yr depending on experience and qualifications.
General Information
- This is a full-time in-office position in our Spokane office and offers full benefits such as paid parking, health and dental insurance, retirement program, paid holidays, vacation and sick time. Typical hours are Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 5:30pm with a half day on Friday, 8:00am – 12pm. The office is located in a beautiful old building in the core of downtown Spokane where all the amenities one needs are available.
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
