JOB SUMMARY

We are currently looking to add a summer temporary position to our team.

Job Summary

Grounds Maintenance & Landscaping/Maintenance Laborer performs manual tasks to maintain landscapping, grounds along with heling maintenance with duties in the facility. Key duties include operating power tools, performing landscaping, disposing of waste. This physically demanding role ensures safe, functional, and clean facilities. Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.

Job Responsibilities

• Must be able to work independently with little direction, and as a member of a team.
• · Required to be exposed to a physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the workday.
• · Ability to perform tasks in inclement weather.
• Cleaning of Industrial building production areas and equipment, handling waste materials, and cleaning out production tanks and vessels.
• · Manage the movement of material through the facility with the use of material handling equipment (i.e., forklift, pallet jack, handcarts,) as required.
• Empty trashcans, waste material cans and recyclable items, transport them and place them in appropriate locations.
• Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals, solutions, and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and protocols.
• Mow and maintain lawn areas using appropriate equipment.
• Perform landscape upkeep including trimming, edging, weed control, and mulching of landscaped areas.
• Manage tree growth, brush clearing, and general vegetation control as needed.
• Perform seasonal property clean-up including removal of leaves, debris, and storm damage.
• Assist with seasonal or weather-related tasks such as snow removal when necessary.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Wears required personal protective equipment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by functioning and communicating in an effective manner with co-workers, and supervisors.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must be 18
• Must be available May-July
• Must be able to run small power tools.
• Ability to take direction and also work independantly.
• Ability to understand job/order specification.
• Ability to pass forklift training.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning and lawn care preferred.

• Flexable eight hour shift to be worked between 9:00am-7:00PM, Monday - Friday.Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.

Must have basic knowledge of hand tools.

Must be able to lift fifty pounds

Must be able to repetitively use a shovel, broom, rake, and other hand tools.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
