What are the responsibilities and job description for the Portfolio Advisor position at MSI Company?
Portfolio Advisor
About the Opportunity
Our client is a rapidly growing firm specializing in helping multifamily property owners identify and secure significant property tax savings available through Florida’s Live Local Act. The firm works with multifamily owners, operators, and investment groups throughout Florida and has established a strong track record of delivering substantial value to its clients.
As the company continues to expand, they are seeking a Portfolio Advisor to develop new business and build relationships across Florida’s multifamily real estate market.
Position Overview
The Portfolio Advisor will be responsible for identifying and developing relationships with multifamily owners, asset managers, general partners, family offices, and institutional investors.
This is a business development and relationship management position, not a compliance or property administration role. The focus is on opening doors, educating prospective clients on the opportunity, qualifying properties, and managing relationships through the sales process.
The ideal candidate will have an established network within the Florida multifamily market and a track record of generating new business through direct outreach and relationship development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities with multifamily owners, operators, investors, and asset managers
- Build and maintain relationships with senior-level decision-makers across the multifamily industry
- Prospect for new opportunities through outbound calls, email, networking, and industry relationships
- Educate prospective clients on the Live Local Act and potential property tax savings
- Identify qualified properties and opportunities within target accounts
- Manage a consultative sales process from initial contact through closing
- Conduct meetings and presentations with property owners and investment professionals
- Maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Work closely with internal teams to transition closed opportunities into the execution process
- Develop long-term client relationships and identify additional opportunities within existing accounts
Qualifications
- Established network of multifamily owners, operators, asset managers, investors, or related decision-makers in Florida
- Experience in multifamily investment sales, capital markets, debt advisory, commercial real estate brokerage, or B2B sales
- Demonstrated success in business development and new client acquisition
- Comfortable managing longer, consultative sales cycles and multiple stakeholders
- Strong understanding of multifamily real estate and investment structures
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and comfortable working independently
- Strong outbound prospecting skills with the ability to create opportunities rather than rely solely on referrals
Ideal Background
This opportunity is particularly well suited for professionals with experience in multifamily investment sales, debt placement, capital markets, CRE brokerage, or real estate-focused B2B sales who have an established network and enjoy developing new business.
Candidates should be comfortable engaging directly with sophisticated real estate decision-makers and communicating a complex financial opportunity in a clear, compelling way.
